Superfonik children’s audio entertainment system
Revolutionising Audio Entertainment for Kids with Intuitive, Parent-Friendly Design
Superfonik began with a question: Why have kids—especially younger ones—been left out of the digital audiobook and podcast revolution? We wanted to change that. Superfonik came to us with a blank sheet. It had no name, brand, or product in the market—just a big ambition to create an audio entertainment system that would feel as intuitive to a child as it was reassuring to a parent.
We began with the name. It had to sound fun in your mouth, feel like a made-up word you’d want to shout across a room and suggest something bigger than just a speaker. Superfonik stuck. From there, we built a full brand universe—identity, campaigns, tone of voice, digital products, and a full app ecosystem—designed to grow with the kids who’d use it.
Superfonik App: A Fun, Simple, and Safe Audio Experience for Kids with Seamless Integration for Parents
At the heart of the experience is the Superfonik app, designed around a circular dial UI that kids can spin with their little digits. it's simple, playful, and tactile—no endless menus, no confusing paths.Just a wheel they can turn to adjust the colour of their player, tweak the volume, or explore their personal library of audiobooks and podcasts. It’s theirs to play with, learn from, and customise.
The app connects seamlessly to a website and store designed for grown-ups. It is a protected garden of curated audio content—stories, podcasts, music—all safe, age-appropriate, and automatically downloaded to the child’s player. Parents can browse, preview, and send new stories to their kids in just a few taps. There are no ads, no noise, just quality content, made easy.
Superfonik’s Retro-Inspired Audio Player: A Stylish, Durable Device for Kids of All Ages
We also helped explore early directions for the physical device. The idea was to build something that didn’t feel disposable or overly childish. Something with a bit of retro charm—big, satisfying dials and a circular screen—that felt familiar to parents and cool enough to stay on a bedroom shelf as kids hit double digits. It was not a plastic toy. It was a proper object. Something they’d be proud to own.
The device connects directly to the child’s library, and the physical controls mimic the app interface—with the circular screen taking centre stage. This consistency between physical and digital makes the experience feel seamless and intuitive, no matter where or how the child chooses to listen.
Empowering Kids with Personalized Audio for a Magical Listening Experience
Superfonik gives kids the right kind of agency—the freedom to explore on their own, personalise their experience, and fall in love with audio the same way many of us fell in love with books. it invites them in with colour, sound, and movement—and gives parents the confidence to let them roam.
The result is a brand built not just for playtime, but for real everyday magic. stories on repeat. favourites discovered. and a space that feels like theirs.
